The Saginaw Art Museum encourages the advancement of knowledge in the fields of art and art history, and is dedicated to to providing scholarly research materials that compliment its permanent collection to make such endeavors possible.
The John and Michelle Bueker Research Library
As one of the major art reference libraries in the Great Lakes Bay Region, the Library houses over 1,100 books, catalogues, and periodicals. The non-lending library is open during Museum hours. No appointment is necessary.
The Saginaw Art Museum's online archives provide visitors with additional information on the artists represented in the museum's permanent collection. Included with the biographies are featured works of art by each artist - which may or may not be currently on exhibit - as well as digitized versions of valuable reference materials not accessible in physical volumes.
